Motivated teams produce better results. But motivation doesn’t come from cracking the whip or piling on incentives to perform. Motivation comes from within the individual and spreads throughout teams. When individuals are motivated, they engage more at work and become more self-sufficient, taking pride in their achievements. Achievement breeds further engagement and the cycle continues.
Individuals must be self-aware, accountable to themselves and take ownership for how they manage situations. The positive mindset that comes with motivation creates space for personal growth, empowerment and ultimately excellence.
