Some of you may have spoken to me already, but if not I am likely to be the first port of call whenever you get in touch with Holst. Hello. I am Emily Holzer. I have lived in my home town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire all my life. While my role at Holst is my first office job, I do have a pretty diverse work history. This includes catering and bar supervising in Mallorca and over a year in the health and social care sector, mainly with dementia patients. I also spent time in Africa teaching in and decorating an orphanage. In my spare time my passions are painting & crafts. I am also a keen classical pianist at home. I started with the Holst Group in July this year. I am still yet to decide whether it feels longer or shorter than just three months. There is so much to take on board! So far I have completed my Level 1 McQuaig Certificate and have got to grips with the McQuaig Psychometric System. In the early days I wondered ‘how on earth will I ever understand it?’ It’s daunting at first but after a few practice sessions I can honestly say that it’s really easy to use. I guess that’s a message I’d like to send to anyone new to the system. Working with the team here in Henley-on-Thames has been a great learning curve. Already I’ve had so many terrific experiences, including Henley Regatta, cakes from our local Patisserie Valerie and of course our fabulous Japanese economics students who visited us in September.
