I really hope that my children’s teachers won’t read this. But, when it comes to equipping the next generation with business writing skills, schools are getting it very, very wrong.
Fortunately my children are young. I have plenty of time to re-educate them. Although it’s quite hard to stop myself muttering ‘one idea per sentence’ when the task is to shoe-in at least four … Literacy in schools seems to hang on lengthy extension, adverbs and complicated language. It’s the opposite of what a writer needs to deliver in the working world. Creative, expressive language is all well and good, but not when you have to get your point across before your reader is distracted and swipes to another page. So, that’s good, right? It’s not your fault, it’s the way you were taught. But now it’s up to you to forget everything and get it right. That’s why Writing Dynamics ™ is great. It gets you to really look at how to make your writing punchy and dynamic. Frankly, it does what it says on the tin.Want to know more? Use the form below to get in touch or call on 0203 111 9292.
