Yet again I return to the subject of truth and possibility. Of course, in the end we want truth. We want something that works. We want real value. All those are types of truth.
The question is how much time are we prepared to spend in the area of possibilities before fashioning, or finding, the truth. In education in general and in universities in particular, far too little time is spent with possibilities. This is because possibilities are regarded as far inferior to the truth. Possibilities are like doors into a room. Which is the more valuable: what you find in the room or the doorway that lets you into the room?Edward de Bono, 5th September 2007
