Free flowprofiler® Power Skill Series: dimension lab® – Self Confidence

Join us 12-1pm on Monday 16th May for self confidence training and development, with instantly applicable takeaways.

What is self confidence?

Self confidence consists of a set of emotional intelligence skills that are important to develop strong workplace relationships. Individuals with these skills are able to:

  • Be self assured in their demeanour
  • Contribute and add value in their teams
  • Be self reliant and unfazed by challenges.

Most of us have self confidence skills to some extent, even if we are not consciously aware of them. However, building awareness of our self confidence skills and how we use them allows us to make small and sustainable adjustments that have significant positive impact.

It’s easy to over and under use our self confidence skills. Both scenarios can be counter productive when the over/under use becomes extreme. Greater awareness of self confidence through training and development helps individuals to better manage and regulate their behaviours in the workplace. In doing this, they become more effective leaders and co-workers.

It’s worth noting that self confidence should not be confused with self esteem. The latter centres on an individual’s sense of internal worth and ability to recognise their own strengths.
